A friend recommended me to go to shiatsu when I was suffering hugely with sciatica. I had tried my GP and there was months to wait for the muscular skeletal clinic. I went to an osteopath but they required a full MRI at a private clinic before treatment - the pain was debilitating. I thought Yen was good from the start. Shiatsu to make blood flow makes sense. He found the sciatic nerves and the muscle that was injured. Over a series of appointments he treated the sciatica and cured it. To me it’s like a miracle. I also have MS and I go back to Yen when I can as shiatsu helps with the neuropathic pain and can actually move around the numbness in my right leg which is amazing. I am a bit of an evangelist for the benefits of shiatsu after finding Yen who actually cured me from this dreadful pain so I highly recommend him.

I have been a patient of Dr. Yen for the past five weeks. I have been impressed by his knowledge, professionalism, and reassuring manner. I have sciatica, and I couldn't walk without limping, but after the first session, I was able to move slightly better. I visited Yen yesterday for the first time, I have had bad pains in my neck although I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis I have been told the pain in my neck is not due to the RA and was told it’s just wear and tear after having MRI scans ,I must admit the first session was a bit painful but I was expecting this anyway, yen explained while working on my accupoints how tight my muscles were which is causing bad blood circulation after awhile I could feel the difference as the treatment was causing the blood to flow also he worked on my breathing and told me how to breath deeper,I have booked another session as I feel this treatment is working already and yen explained that the sessions become less intense as time goes on.So thank you yen and looking forward to the next session.Tom.

I have received two treatments from Yen, just over a year apart. I didn't have any acute ailments but wanted to try shiatsu to support overall physical, emotional and mental balance. I came away both times, feeling inspired and motivated to work on my wellbeing, because of Yen's accurate insights into my state of health and helpful guidance. I also felt a sense of general release after the treatments. Yen is warm, reassuringly confident, knowledgeable and perceptive. One thing to note is that I found the treatment at times to be painful, due to Yen highlighting some particularly tense spots in my body, but this was definitely a positive thing.

Mr Chong is really a rare find.His Shiatsu technique is very unique, practical and produces quick and noticeable results.He also takes the time to help your core issues in life, that could be causing the physical issues.The approach is multidimensional and isn't anything like the western approach. (Fyi, it is not for relaxation, but for healing).It is definitely worth a visit.

I have been to see Yen with several health issues I had and I cant praise enough his service. He has recommended to do at least 4 sessions to be able to see the results but I must say I have noticed the positive change after the first session already which has been improving with every visit. I have been in treatment with Dr. Yen for 6 months for previous injuries in my back, sciatica and frozen shoulder, sometimes the pain is so strong that it doesn't allow me to walk or do my normal activities. Although I am not constant in my treatments due to my work or travel, I have felt a great improvement with each session. Before meeting Sifu Yen, I hadn't a clue what 'Alternative Medicine' or more specifically, Chinese Alternative Therapy Massage (TCM) - was about. Having been exposed to Western medicine from the cradle, I naturally resorted to pharmaceutical products and medically qualified professionals throughout my life. However, all this changed when Sifu saw my swollen leg after nearly a month being in a post-operative hospital ward. My entire left leg - from the hip down to my toes - were the size of my thigh. He immediately went to work on my leg. He opened-up the lymphatic channels and restored proper blood circulation. This happened, literally, overnight - my left leg returned to its recognisable normal state. Since then, I'm a big fan of TCM Shiatsu.CAVEAT: You have to be prudent with pain; as TCM therapy is not pleasant - but, its effect is profound and healing.

Had excruciating back pain / sciatica. Pain killers didn't do the job anymore, I woke up in the middle of the night. My wife found Yen in Nextdoor and I gave it a try. He is practicing traditional Chinese methods, using his hands. Nothing you pop into your mouth, nothing invasive. It was painful, especially the first time, but after a couple of sessions I felt MUCH better. Can warmly recommend Yen.
